Imagine a long view of a beach. No one is around, just the waves, golden sunlight and a seagull dancing around the retreating waves. Now – create the mood. Caribbean party? Sad? Early morning? Peaceful & Tranquil? With the same image, but different music you can create ½ a dozen different emotions.

Too often, the music is thought of after the script is complete, after the images have been captured, sometimes even after the edit is finished. Local producers are missing a great opportunity for a powerful impact when they try to match the music to the edit, rather than working to find the right music as the creative process emerges.
